YAAR has gone through a deep restructuring with the aim of building up internal capacities in order to undertake greater responsibilities for national coverage.

YAAR implemented over hundreds of projects in various fields such as sustainable livelihoods, informal education/training, disaster risk mitigation, humanitarian assistance and community peacebuilding in the provinces of Kabul, Nangarhar, Laghman, Kunar, Nooristan, Parwan, Kapisa, Logar, Maidan/Wardak, Kandahar, Herat, Baghlan, Balkh, Badakhshan, Kundoz and Faryab provinces.
